Galiza

Judith Galiza is an abstract painter renowned for her vibrant and dynamic compositions. Born in 1976 in Ourense, Spain, Judith came from a family of artists; she is the daughter of renown watercolor artis Xavier Galiza. She pursued formal art education at the University of Fine Arts in Pontevedra, where she was exposed to various styles and techniques that would later influence her unique approach to abstract art.
Judith’s artwork is notable for its use of vivid, contrasting colors that create a sense of movement and energy. She employs a variety of techniques, including layering, dripping, and splattering paint, to achieve complex textures and depth in her pieces. Her compositions are often non-representational, leaving them open to interpretation and allowing viewers to find their own meanings and connections within the abstract forms.
A recurring theme in Judith’s work is the interplay between chaos and order. She skillfully balances spontaneous, expressive brushstrokes with carefully considered compositions, creating a harmonious tension that captivates the viewer. Her paintings often evoke a sense of fluidity and transformation, as if the forms within them are in a constant state of flux.
