Kierra Maillette (1997 – ), born in Chicago, IL, has had a passion for art from a very early age, coming from a family of creatives; including photographers, painters, writers, and carpenters.
She graduated from the University of Wisconsin River Falls in 2020 with her BFA in Painting and Illustration. Throughout her education she developed an interest in a variety of career fields including graphic and web design, children’s book illustration, muralist art, and teaching.
Kierra finds inspiration in her work through life experiences and the people around her who have greatly impacted her life. She has always enjoyed exploring creative possibilities and challenging herself with new ideas and techniques within her work.
